WorkSafe WA High Risk Work Licences are generally valid for 5 years and need to be renewed before they expire. You should check the expiry date shown on your licence and arrange your renewal with WorkSafe WA before the licence expires.
If your licence has expired, you may need to meet additional requirements before you can continue performing high risk work.
There is no legislated expiry date on the nationally recognised Statements of Attainment for Confined Space or Working at Heights training.
However, industry practice and many employers and principal contractors recommend refresher training every 2 years to maintain competency and currency.
Your workplace, client or site may have specific refresher requirements, so always check their requirements before commencing work.
Not sure if your training is still current? Contact Midwest Safety & Training and we can help you determine what training or refresher is appropriate.
Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a 10-character reference number used for nationally recognised training in Australia.
If you already have a USI but can’t remember it, you can retrieve it through the official USI website using your personal details and identification.
Need help? If you’re having trouble finding your USI before training, contact Midwest Safety & Training and we can help point you in the right direction.
Our training courses start at 8:00am, with finish times varying depending on the course, assessment requirements and participant numbers, most running to 3pm.
When you book, we’ll provide you with a confirmation email detailing the specific start and expected finish time for your course.
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to allow time for registration and getting ready for the day.
Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel your training booking, particularly where cancellation is made at short notice.
Once a training course is confirmed, we allocate trainers, equipment and resources to the course. Our cancellation terms apply to all confirmed bookings, so we recommend checking the cancellation policy in the student handbook supplied with your confirmation email.
If you need to change or reschedule your training, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to assist.
